My Clover Story,

I have been a clover hunter since I was a child. I was never successful in my hunting until I was in my early 20’s when I lost my mother unexpectedly in 2002. Since then i have found a phenomenal amount of 4 leaf, 5 leaf, 6 leaf and even 7 and 9 leaf clovers. I have literally found thousands of clovers. I often find four leaf clovers in times of personal distress and those times that you just need your mom. It is not uncommon for me to find a “bouquet” of 4 and 5 leaves in one sitting. I call these clovers my “spirit gifts” or “gifts from the other side” and I feel so blessed to find so many. They are like a hug from heaven. I find them wherever I go…my yard, friends/families yards, work, walks in my neighborhood/city, vacations, forests, trails, parks and even in cemeteries.

For years my clovers sat in books not doing much. in 2020 I quit my long time career with no real plans for the future. I knew that I couldn’t continue with my soul sucking life but I was still lost. i didn’t have much money and started making christmas gifts with my four leaf clovers. i quickly fell in love with creating and felt like I found my purpose. what started out as keychains and necklaces has grown to so much more.

I create a variety of things in hopes to appeal to a broad range of tastes and preferences and budgets. I make plain creations with just a clover and I also like to incorporate other elements from nature. I also forage and preserve mushrooms, acorns, ferns and other botanicals along with flowers. I love the strange an unusual and i also incorporate bones and other oddities into my art on occasion. at the moment I create shadow boxes, art/wall hangings, suncatchers, pendants, keychains, bookmarks, brooches/pins, rings, bracelets, other jewelry and earrings. I also love to thrift old things made of wood and glass and add a little luck to them, I call it “Luckcycled”.

I mainly preserve using epoxy resin but occasionally use other mediums. while my experience and expertise have grown, please keep in mind that I am not a professional and each piece is one of a kind and handmaid so there may be imperfections. Occasional bubbles and other imperfections may happen. I also feel that every clover is special no matter what it looks like. some clovers will not be as green as others and not every leaf will be perfect or pressed perfectly. the unusual, broken, beaten, discolored and disfigured can be the most beautiful in my eyes.

My mother was an outgoing beautiful carefree loving soul who was also an artist. I have always dabbled with various art mediums in hopes to be like her. I often feel like she is right beside me giving me ideas and inspiration every step of the way. Making these clover creations has been so comforting and so very healing for me and I hope you enjoy my clovers as much as I do. I have so many and am so happy to share them with others. We could all use some luck in this crazy circus world that we're living through!
